Duplicate and Rotate

 

Duplicate and Rotate, as the name suggests, duplicates an object and allows you to rotate the item at the same time.

 

Steps for Duplicate and Rotate.

  1. Click on the Duplicate Rotate Tool.
  2. Select the items to transpose in 3D view. This tool only works with 3D objects.
  3. Click (or snap to an end point) to mark the first point of the object(s) to set the rotation origin. This can be anywhere, but a sensible point of departure is a corner or center.
  4. Click on (or snap to an end point) a 2nd point. This sets the reference angle.
  5. The reference is now set for the selected object.
  6. The 3rd point sets the direction distance for move and origin, and the 4th the angle of rotation.
  7. This clone is then active until the tool is deactivated. You can clone as many times as needed.
