Linear Duplicate and Move
![]()
Duplicate Linear, as the name suggests, duplicates an object without any rotate. Move is the same process but without a duplication.
Steps for Linear Duplicate and Move.
- Click on the Linear Duplicate Tool.
- Select the items to transpose in 3D view. This tool only works with 3D objects.
- Click (or snap to an end point) to mark the first point of the object(s) to set the origin of the transpose. This can be anywhere, but a sensible point of departure is a corner or center. You can also free select with no snap.
- The origin for dupilcate or move is now set for the selected object(s).
- The 2rd click sets the direction, distance and new origin to copy/move to.
- This clone is then active until the tool is deactivated. You can clone as many times as needed.
